Purpose of award: The foundation addresses the issues of literacy, independent living, employment and access for visually impaired Americans.
Eligibility requirements: Applicants must be full-time, post-secondary students with proof of legal blindness. Students must reside in the U.S. and provide evidence of economic need. Preference is given to applicants living in the New York metropolitan area and new immigrants to the U.S. Applicants must submit applications, essays, transcripts, enrollment letters, and two recommendation letters.
