Purpose of award: To aid outstanding California resident students.
Eligibility requirements: Applicants must be legal residents of California who are U.S. citizens or eligible noncitizens. Applicants must enroll in and attend a U.S. postsecondary institution on a full-time basis as freshmen, have registered with the Selective Service System and submit a certification form attesting that they are not delinquent or in default on a federal scholarship or educational loan. The Commission reviews applicants by grade point average.

How to apply: Students must apply through their high school program coordinator. Students not currently enrolled in a California high school may obtain an application directly from the California Student Aid Commission.
