Purpose of award: To assist the children of members of the Navy Submarine Force and other Navy submarine support personnel.
Eligibility requirements: Applicants must be the unmarried children or stepchildren of navy submariners or navy members who have served in submarine support activities and must be under 24 years old at the . time of the application deadline. The parents must have been part of the Submarine Force for at least eight years, have served in submarine support activities for at least 10 years or died on active duty while in the Submarine Force. The children of submariners who served less than the required number of years due to injury or illness occurring in the line of duty may also be eligible. Applicants must attend an accredited four-year college, working for a bachelor's degree.

Number of awards: 137. Scholarship may be renewable.
